She was elected to join the phi beta kappa honor society. She completed her internship and residency at MSU affiliated Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan and served on the medical school’s alumni board for 8 years. She has received research grants from BCBS of Michigan and is published in healthy lifestyle and diet.
